Set up the Bol.com ChatGPT app
About five minutes. You need a paid ChatGPT plan with developer mode and a Marktspan workspace with a connected Bol shop.
- In Marktspan: connect your Bol.com NL or BE shop and turn MCP on under Settings → MCP.
- In ChatGPT: open Settings and enable developer mode (under Apps & Connectors or Security, depending on your ChatGPT version).
- Create a new MCP app: name it Marktspan, paste https://marktspan.com/api/mcp, choose OAuth, and leave client ID and secret empty.
- Sign in with Marktspan, approve access, and open a new chat. Start with “Which Bol shops can you see?”
What ChatGPT can answer about your Bol shop
ChatGPT picks the tool; you ask in plain language. Answers use the same governed numbers as your Marktspan P&L, so finance and the chat agree.
- Weekly reviews: revenue, orders, and contribution per shop and EAN, with the products that moved most.
- Ads: Sponsored Products spend, ACoS, and search terms that cost money without orders.
- Range decisions: Bol search volume, seasonality, winning bids, and unit economics at a target price.
- Finance (finance role): commission, fulfillment, shipping, and returns charges per order from Bol invoices.
Why not upload a CSV to ChatGPT instead?
A Partner Platform export is stale by the next meeting, has no costs joined, and leaks shop data into whichever chat it was dropped into. With MCP, ChatGPT queries live data at question time, only for the workspace you signed in to, and every call is read-only.
Read-only by default
The ChatGPT app cannot change prices, bids, or budgets on Bol.com. Bid changes stay in Ad Pilot with preview and approval, or in governed write tools on eligible plans with a dry run first.
