MCP server — Marktspan Docs

The Marktspan MCP server connects Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and any other Model Context Protocol client to the marketplace data in your Marktspan workspace. It is hosted at https://marktspan.com/api/mcp: there is nothing to install, and no Bol.com Retailer API client ID or secret goes into a config file. You sign in with Marktspan over OAuth, and the assistant only sees the workspace and connections your role allows.

What the assistant can read

Orders and P&L — revenue, orders, units, and contribution per day, EAN, or shop, after commission, LVB fees, and ad spend. Totals come from the same governed metrics as the in-app P&L, so the chat and the dashboard agree.
Sponsored Products — spend, ACoS, campaigns, advertised EANs, and search terms that cost money without orders (Growth plan with a connected Bol shop). See MCP for Bol advertising.
Keyword and category demand — Bol search volume, trend, winning bids, leaf category ranking, and bestsellers. No connected shop needed. See MCP for Bol keyword research.
Bol finance invoice lines — one row per Bol invoice line with date, sales / returns / cost section, cost group (commission, fulfillment, shipping, advertising, returns handling), EAN, order reference, and amounts excluding and including VAT. Finance roles only.
Stock, promotions, and order lookups — stock cover and replenishment, upcoming Bol promotions, and individual orders or order lines.

Connect in five minutes

In Marktspan, connect your Bol.com NL or BE shop and turn MCP on under Settings → MCP.
Claude: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector → paste https://marktspan.com/api/mcp. ChatGPT: enable developer mode, create an MCP app with the same URL and OAuth. Cursor: add the URL as a remote MCP server in mcp.json. Deepseek Harness: create an mcp_* token under Settings → MCP → Access tokens, then paste it into Harness (or set MARKTSPAN_MCP_TOKEN in ~/.dsh/.env).
For OAuth clients, sign in with Marktspan when prompted and approve access. Start a new chat with "Which Bol shops can you see?" (or run whoami in Deepseek Harness).

Governance

Read tools never change, create, or delete data. Finance-confidential datasets (net profit, invoice lines) are limited to finance and admin roles. NL and BE shops keep separate connection IDs, so answers never blend countries by accident. Bid and budget changes are not made silently from a chat: they go through Ad Pilot approval or through governed write tools on eligible plans, always with a dry run first.

If tools look outdated after a Marktspan update, remove the connector and add it again so the client reloads the tool list.

Honest marketplace scope

Bol.com (NL and BE) has the full MCP tool set today. Other connected marketplaces are available through the generic order, P&L, and stock tools; Allegro and Kaufland MCP pages are on the roadmap. Marktspan is not affiliated with bol.com, and bol.com does not publish an official MCP server.
